Yes it can be fixed Pat. I'm not a wood expert either but any cabinet maker/ furniture maker/ finish carpenter or even a high end painter should be able to make it like new-and for less than $1700. I think the fact that it's natural is a good thing.

we Softwash that stuff all the time. not sure if your guys tried to fan spray a 2% mix or not, but that is what we do. and then rinse, bleach wash and rinse two more times.

Yes Pat just finish spraying it all. Use a scrub brush med bristle to agitate in same direction of grain. Then rinse. If there is still oil in the wood than just use Wood Restore to neutralize. If the wood is dry and needs it you can get teak oil at most hardware stores and West Marine stores. Its rub on rub off karate kid style.

Teke oil will take a few days to soak in. Will be oily to the touch until then, i.e. will get on your clothes

I worked at a patio furniture shop in college, and we sold a product that was called "brightener" for teak, which in retrospect was bleach, you could smell it, then sold the customer a teak oil. I'm not sure what teak oil is, perhaps just boiled linseed oil? Any customer with teak patio furniture is probably a good target customer, that stuff is expensive. I can remember delivering 25K of patio furniture sometimes. Would be interested to see if wood restore would work on it, could be a good add on.
