The more surfactant you use the less the Ch residue will stick.

Mike if you can try to pre-mix your ch 16oz. per gallon prior to going to the job preferabally the night before. I mix mine in a 35gal. mix tank in the bed for at least 30 minutes the night before and let settle. While driving it will mix around just let it settle before you pump into primary mix tank. Your window residue will be very minimal if any just make sure you give yourself enough mix time for the ch to dilute into the water.

I'd use one ounce per gallon for each % of bleach needed. For instance 3 oz per gallon for a 3% mix. 16 ounces is way too much if your using 68% CH. That would certainly explain alot if residue.

200 oz volume per 1% for 50 gallons correct?

how much do you get out of a 50 lb container?

For a 1% mix you would use 50 oz for a 50 gallon mix.  If you are worried about windows just use a soft brush and agitate windows lightly with a 50/50 mix white vinegar/water and then rinse.  I would do same if you do a deck.  CH will also stick to aluminum siding after you are gone when it rains and runs behind gutter.  Call me if any questions.  We just went from 100% ch to augmented on roofs and SH for siding and decks.  Mainly because it is hard to train workers to rinse everything perfectly when using CH and I am not on most jobs.

Formula is Gallons x Mix Percentage = Ounces of CH

At a 4% mix in a 50 gallon tank, you would mix up 200 oz. 50 gallon x 4% = 200 ounces.

There are 800 ounces of CH in a 50 lb. container so you would get (4) 50 gallon batches in your tank.

You'll find CH percentage does not pack the same punch as SH percentage. I find what works with a 3% mix on SH needs a 4% mix on CH.

I have been trying to use CH exclusively. This has forced me and my guys to become more diligent during rinsing and so far has worked out very well for us. I really feel that residue has become nearly a non-issue for us.

The only surface I will break down and use SH for is wood. It just does a better job than CH. Everything else I have been using CH exclusively. Results have been very good.

Since we get so much moss up here, I have to use a surface cleaner for almost all the brick and stone. I have yet to run into brick and stone that only has GM on it!

Try your local leslies and open an account. Does your bleach supplier carry? The cheapest I could find was 1 pallet (16 containers) picked up at $178 each. I was picking up singles from my distributor at $192. CH has a huge odor that lingers in your warehouse and will irritate your eyes etc. Very noticeable with just 2 containers.

jumping on Tims post the odor definately lingers and make sure you dont have any "raw" metals around it will rust them out with surface rust. I moved my 100lb buckets from my garage to my 8x10 aluminum shed behind my house so i dont have to smell anything.  Attached you will see an exhaust pipe from my old dirt bike that was on a shelf 5ft above the closed buckets.....stated to rust within 2 weeks.

Here in Atlanta, after buying 5, 100lb buckets, my price dropped to $143 per 100lb bucket. Big cost savings!
