Hello everyone, I hope this is the right spot in the forum for this question. I'm looking for some advice from y'all on how to best outfit our first SWS rig. We purchased a 2010 F150 extra cab with an 8ft bed. Truck is already wrapped and awaiting our Gen III skid that was last seen roaming the U.S. and heading to AZ. I've picked up a few valuable tips from some of you already. Need recommendations on ladders (type and size you like best) and the other ancillary equipment you have on your rigs. Hose end sprayers, pump sprayers, hoses and most importantly the small items essential to have on every truck to keep production happening! Any/all advice would be greatly appreciated as for right now I have a blank canvas to start with.

Spare pump. 1/4 o rings. 20 ft ladder and a 32 are what we carry. A tool box to be able to make on sight repairs. We also have a container tub that holds our smaller stuff like squeegee ' s and ppe stuff like boots and overalls. Spare battery. 2-300 ft of garden hose. Spare tips. There's more but I can't think of it right now. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

fiberglass ladders too heavy. We carry a 24' and 32'. We do a lot of tall houses so we need 32'., One of our 24' ladders has the levelers on legs which is helpful. I like the corner buddy stabilizers. We also carry a 6' or 8' step ladder. don't use the 3/4" commercial hoses at lowes or HD. Go with the 5/8 red hot water hoses. They don't crack and are lighter. We also have some 1/2" industrial hoses Goodyear we got online which are really nice. We use the Gilmour hose end sprayer for bleach wash - the one that has a spray gun attachment - not the plastic one. We also carry in one gallon jugs a gutter cleaner, One Restore, F9 Rust Remover and White Vinegar

I use aluminum folding ladders rated for 300-lb and find them more versatile for most jobs but not all, too concur with Mike spare pump etc.

I make my own wands out of aluminum and schedule 80 ball valves the gray ones they hold up to the chems longer and the ends of the wands when they need to be replaced just cut and rethread. These cost more but the alumninm rod holds up and every thing else is replaced when needed. It helps to have a vice and two 1in crescent wrenches. The wrenches always have a use out in the field too lock-tight and thread tape.

I posted this somewhere else last year, but I can't even find it. See our attached Truck Checklist. It seems to help with my guys and always holds them accountable.

We use mostly fiberglass ladders, which most guys do not. I like the stability of them....call it an old roofing thing, maybe. We carry a 32' extension and a 10' A ladder on each truck. That seems to work out really well. Give me a call if you have any questions.
