#2 It is best to fly in on Wednesday the 22nd of January as early as you can. Registration starts at 3:00 pm eastern and we have a BBQ at 6:00 pm eastern.
#3 It is best and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you fly out on Sunday the 26th. We have a full day of classes and labs each and every day Saturday included as well as dinner plans for the group Saturday eve. It is VERY DISTRACTING to be trying to accommodate people Saturday afternoon trying to leave or fly out while we are wrapping up the event.
#4 For a very low fee you can stay an extra evening at Canterbury and not have to rush out Saturday.
#5 There will be no shuttle bus running between Canterbury and the airport. Please post flight and ride share info here or share a cab with others coming in the same time as you.

Yes, I agree, come on Wednesday and leave on Sunday. Sorry I distracted you and the crew in LA leaving early on Saturday. :(
Wish I knew cab fare was $60 each way before buying this event and $500 worth of plane tickets and 2 extra days at the hotel. Wish Wednesday night's event would be held on Thursday night. I would have to fly in on Tuesday to be there for the start on Wednesday. Missed Wednesday night at LA Softwashapalooza waiting to catch a ride from LAX, also.
If anyone would like to share a ride from MCO I would love to talk to you!
I start my adventure by getting on the plane at 6:00 a.m. here in WA state and finally arrive at MCO at 6:20 pm. Hope you save some chicken for me this time :)
last year I rented a car and plalyed some golf while I was there. Rental cars are cheap - i used points. Keep in mind its Orlando so compared to other places everything is a lot cheaper. Even the golf was real cheap and courses were beautiful. Weather was gorgeous.
If anyone wants to play some golf, I am most likely going to play Wednesday when I get in. Let me know if interested, as I might be playing with a few of my buddies who live in Orlando, I not.
Just booked my flight into MCO. I rented a car as well. I'll arrive at 2:08 PM Wed, and I'll leave Sat evening for a room near the airport. If anyone would like to catch a ride at these times let me know. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
I can hang around a bit if you'd like to ride with. I've been most places in Fl not including Orlando. Wouldn't mind driving around a bit anyway before heading down.
try searching for rental cars online. there are sites like rentalcars.com etc i usually use points from credit cards and have never tried those websites
Gotta love Priceline. I managed to get my rental for $130 with my ticket. Wouldn't hurt to split cab fares too. I will look for the new thread, and I'll post there too.

What a great idea! Thank you, Tim.
I went to rentalcars.com and found a lot of better deals. I wound up reserving a Ford Focus for $80, including tax!!
If it weren't for the Wednesday night get together and the necessity to expedite,
I might even have taken the Central FL Regional Transit Authority. $6 from the airport to the Canterbury in about 3 hours...
Beware all the toll roads. Tolls are from $.25 to $7 each, MapQuest said those routes take about 31 minutes.
I'm going non toll and theoretically speaking, it should only take about 8 more minutes to get there.
Anyway, I have a car so anyone than needs a ride, message me in here or email me at vic.irish@gmail.com and we can meet at
Fox Rent-A-Car Orlando (enter that in Bing Maps or Mapquest as beginning of destination) when I get there (sometime between 6:30 and 7:00 pm).

Thanks again, Tim. That really was great advice!

Tolls from Airport to Canturberry are about $3.50 each way.
