Cleaning the north face of this very dirty parking garage with my cradle skid. The truck mounted system is perfect for tight turns and zipping in and out of open parking spaces.
Was posting from my mobile earlier, so post was rather short and photos limited. Thought Iwould expound upon today's work.
This is a parking garage at Tallahassee Memorial Hosptial, 8 stories at the top of the highest stairwell, 7 level of parking. it is also a "live garage", meaning its active and in use while the cleaning is taking place. We did choose to work on the weekend, when the traffic is a bit reduced.
Have a team member stationed on each floor to guard against pedestrians sticking their heads out. On the immdiate two floors under each cleaning we have water hoses to counteract any cleaning mist that may try to blow back into the garage.
Two sides of garage took 75 gallons of straight SH.
Brought in Pizza for lunch to keep guys on job site.
Beautiful work as always Ray. I imagine an active garage can be a bit stressful. From my experience pedestrians always try to enter a work zone no matter how well it's marked. I see a few cars in the pics. Did you have any issue with overspray on cars?

Chris, The secret to dealing with the overspray is to have lots of guys with lots of water hoses! When spraying the floor above at least two guys on the floors directly underneath Have their water hoses on and spraying outwards in a wide fan pattern. This helps to catch any overspray mist and send it out of the garage. Then we also give a courtesy Fresh water spray off of any cars that were parked. All other floors have to have team members stationed also For public safety. The general public has a habit of seeing water coming down from inside the garage and wanting to go to the edge and look to see if it's raining. This can lead to them getting a face full of SH unless you Take steps to prevent it!!!!!
And yes it is stressful… Jobs like this make me want to drink heavily after I'm done!

As Chris put it beautiful work. You mentioned hours, SH, and mix ratio. Excluding yourself how many guys did you have on site? Did you only do the two sides? I'm trying to figure out, in this peanut size brain of mine, a dollar figure.
Thanks. My apologies as I didn't want you to post your number$. I just wanted to get an idea of the amount of manpower you had on site for a job of this size so I could use it as a reference. It's amazing how helpful you are to us.
Ray
Just to clarify. It was 10hrs just doing north side or the whole garage.
Could you have cleaned at night to reduce risks associated with public and vehicles or was it not an option. Mind you I'd rather not work the graveyard shift.

Greg, it was 10 hours for two sides of that garage. Would not have attempted night work on this job. I think missed. spots and touchups would be astronomical.

There wasn't too much landscaping to worry about, but I did fry the rye grass around the perimeter. I disclosed this would happen prior to the inception of the work.
