Here are a few of mine.....Funny thing, my graphic guy messsed up on the phone #. The phone # is different in Pic one than Pic 3. I drove around for about 3 weeks before I even noticed it.

Chris, I have always loved your rig. When I was out with Bill last year you drove by us while we were on the road and I said "Hey there just went that HOT flat bed from the RCIA site."
Ac what is the purpose of getting a DOT#. Also great truck shots. Ill get mine up soon.
Any truck that is rated for over 10,000lbs or has a combined rate of over 10,000lbs (meaning truck and trailer combined rate) is required to be DOT registered.

Thanks AC. I love the flatbed setup, but really like the idea of having a compact setup in the bed of the truck. I may be putting something together shortly.

You'll have to check with NJDOT. It looks like you don't need a USDOT#. If NJ requires it for over 10,000lbs, then you'll need one. An F250 is rated for just under 10,000lbs, and a dual axle trailer is rated at a minimum of 7,000lbs (maybe more depending on the axles you have under it).

Careful what you say... I've thought about selling it and buying a 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive. Two 3/4 ton gas burners can be hard on a guy.
Of course, considering what I paid for it in 04 and what it's worth now I may just keep it forever.
We did Dave Ramsay's Financial Peace University so I am always looking for good clean second hand vehicles now. No new cars for us!!!!!! I want $$$ in the bank not in my payment book.
I here ya there A/C, We have to find a new vehicle now, since the insurance cmpy totaled the bmw, (it still runs great but the driver side door don't open) We are gonna pay cash for a used car so not to take on another payment.

THAT'S the name of the game these days!! Dave Ramsey is a very wise man to get financial counsel from.
I see all these nice looking rigs , very nice , but I also see tanks that look to be bigger than 100 gallons . I inquired with the a dot inspector last year and he basically told me its not how much SH you are carrying its your capacity , he also said it doesnt matter it its mixed at 2% or its 15% anything over 1000 lbs requires placards , and a cdl with hazmat . I asked him if I was on site with a 250 gallon tank would that still apply , his answer was yes as long as the tank was on a tagged motor vehicle . I run 2 fifty gallon tanks just to play it safe . ( I have a cdl with hazmat I cant claim I didnt know) . Has anybody been stopped for violating the hazmat law.

We stop at all open scales and have been pulled aside for a walk around inspection several times. We have never had a violation.

The truck pictured above was built mainly for commercial use, it is driven by a former bleach truck driver who has full hazmat license certs. That is the reason for the 225 and 100 gallon tanks .
This is my Fatboy skid setup. It's pretty basic, but has been an extremely cost effective way to get into business. I've made some modifications such as the union before the hose reel. It allows me to bypass the reel when putting SH in my mix tank and for aggitating the mix. I installed a charging relay that I picked up at Boater's World and it has been a great addition (beats running a trickle charger from the house).
This skid, minus the ladders, set me back about $3k which I made back on three jobs this weekend. I'm amazed at the possible margins in this business, especially with such a low barrier of entry. AC's products are the real deal!
Great way to amp up Bob's GREAT Fat Boy Bandit system and augment it with a skid and ladder rack. You stay in the GREEN and dont settle for debt. A SoftWash Systems Cradle Skid should be earned and not purchased with debt if at all possible. You do what you need to do to get profitable. Bob's system is awesome and is a SOLID start.
Thanks AC, I've taken a lot away from this forum. I also enjoy reading positive comments over here, not the typical negativity and back and forth like some of the other forums.
Mark, the black fitting in the third picture is a union that allows me to bypass the hose reel when filling my mix tank or agitating the mix. You have the fatboy setup, what are you doing now to put SH in your mix tank?
The charger is from Blue Sea Systems, you can pick it up at a West Marine if you have one nearby. The wiring diagram is pretty self-explanatory. Hope this helps.
Yes, I have the FatBoy system and I either have my supply company pump the SH directly into my mix tank (I only have one tank so far) or I'll take additional 5ers with me and pour them into the tank if I will not be passing close to the supply store latter that day or if it's a Saturday job.
I don't like to work Saturdays except for the fact that more homeowners are home in the neighborhoods, working in their yards, and are apt to be curious about what I'm doing. Opens up a great Q&A time with them.
Here is my new skid I took delivery of yesterday from Paul Kassander at www.powerwashstore.com. A 3000PSI 8GPM Hydro tek Cold water pressure washer w 150 foot hose and pivoting reel, 150 Garde hose on titan reel, Dual Roof Pump system w Titan Reel and 300 Feet of Poly Braid hose, 2 55 gallon tanks, 1 100 gallon tank for pressure washer, 24 inch Ground Force Collapsible Surface Cleaner. All mounted on a skid that can slide in an out of my truck bed. Used it today and loved it. NO MORE TRAILER.....except for those really big jobs.
