I've said it before and I'll say it again. If your not using GREENWASH in your roof mix, your pouring money down the roof. It's not just my opinion, it's a fact...JACK
Cleaned a two story 3500 sq ft shingle roof today. Used 20 Gallons of SH, about 70 gallons of water and 48 ounces of GREEN WASH.Medium Dirty Roof. Have about 15 gallons of mix left.
I have been using the GREENWASH for several months now, so this not new to me, just wanted to remind you guys that if you havent tried it, you should.
So you used 75 gallons on a 3,500sf roof? Sounds like a lot of chemical to me, what's the advantage of useing green wash?
Steve
Nope, used about 55 gallons actually. I mixed up 70 gallons and had 15 left over. Here are what I am finding are the advantages to the green wash for me.
1) I use way less SH. My normal mix for cleaning medium to almost heavy dirty roofs is 12 gallons 10%SH, 50 gallons water, 48 ounces of green wash. That gets me 62 gallons of mix. If it is a really dark heavily stained roof I will add more SH. The Green Wash helps to activate the SH so you use less SH.
2) The Green Wash causes my solution to cling and stick to the roof better than any other surfactant I have used. We do 90% shingle roofs and rarely do tile.
3) The Green Wash will keep my mix hot for up to 4-5 days. So it doesnt degrade my mix as fast as other srugactants do.
4) The Green Wash has great odor masking abilities. No need to spend additional money for scent additives that can and will kill your SH.
5) The Green Wash has soft water agents built in for less spotting of windows. However, I really don't concern myself with that as I use the Bleach Wash on windows when I am done and the windows turn out very clean w no spots.
doug how do you get a 70 gallon mix with 20 gallons of sh and 70 gallons of water? to me that comes out to 90Gallons. so you used 75 gallons and had 15 left over?

Steve my numbers may be slightly off, I will verify with Roger Lin who owns the house, he is on this board, and Nathan Wilson, who is on this board also. Both were at this job and both attended my Pressure Cleaning School. We were actually using Rogers house as a training house. I origionally mixed 12 gallons 10% SH, 50 gallons water, 48 ounces Green Wash. Total of 62 Gallons + or -. Needed more so I made another batch of 20 gallons using about 4 gallons SH10% 16 gallons of water and 16 ounces green wash. So total I used about 70 gallons. The above post shouldn't have said 55 gallons. Now 70 may sound like a lot, but I used the Zero tip on it pretty much the whole time so I used a lot more than if I had walked the whole thing and used a fan tip. Since using the green wash I have paid attention less to total mix and more to total SH I am using. Thats what cost me money. That and the green wash. I am happy with the results I am getting.
Doug, how does green wash compare to am lo as a surfactant?
I was using am lo before i tried green wash. Problem was I was having to add something else to cover the scent. IMO the green wash sticks better than am lo, cleans better, and I USE LESS SH. Now throw out the part about sticking better and cleaning better, ler's ay those were even or green wash was a little behind. I would still use green wash because I USE LESS SH.
Doug, how are you applying the bleach wash to windows?
4 ounces to a gallon of water in a pump up sprayer. Spray it on the window, rinse off with water. Go to my you tube video channell dougrucker21 and there are some videos I posted when I was testing it out a few months back for Delco and it shows how I do it. I actually left my roof mix on a window on purpose for 2 hours in the sun and the bleach wash totally cleaned it up.
Doug, I don't remember what the exact ratios were but I didn't even think it was that much. Plus look at the pics that was a pretty steep roof that was mostly done from the ground. Not to mention a couple of newbies wasting alot of solution...Rodger not me"just kidding" he was manning the water hose. Also the bleach wash worked great on some windows that dried up on us to quick the day before.
Actually used it today for a window cleaning job. Customer wanted her windows cleaned but didnt want to pay "professional" prices nor was really concerned that they come out totally spotless. So after cleaning her roof, I went around and pulled the screens off, used my pump sprayer w 1 gallon of water and 4 ounces of bleach wash, sprayed it on the windows, used the window scrubber on them, and rinsed with water and they came out great. Mind you they werent perfect but both she and I were very happy with them,. Very few water spots on then. You really had to look close at the windows to see any. $175.00 up sell and took about 30 minutes. Not to shabby.

Cleaned a roof last Friday and had 30 gallons left over due to my helper mixing up to much at the end of the job....no problem. With most additives the mix would have been dead in 24 to 48 hours. Not with GREEN WASH. Used all 30 gallons today on a house wash and it seemed like it had weakened at all. This is the second time I have gotten use out of my mix after it has sat for 4-5 days since I started using GREEN WASH. GREEN WASH if you aint using it, USE IT.
Didnt know about the surfactant ability or the fragrance! Think I'm gonna have to try the green wash!
So The green wash covers the smell of sh and you dont have to add surfactant???
How much green wash per 5 gallons?
Green Wash is $120 per 5 gallon container and you should get between 6 and 10 roofs from it. The shipping cost for you should land around $25 give or take.
Guys, make sure when you are figuring your cost, you looking at all the benefits Green Wash affords you. It masks the SH scent, it boosts the cleaning power of the SH so you can use LESS SH, has the water conditioner in it for windows, doesnt kill your mix overnight, I have been able to get 4-5 days out of my mix before it starts degrading, and IMO it clings better on shingle roofs than any other surfectant that I have used causing way less run off.
I don't get paid or dicsounts for pushing green wash, I just simply found something that IMO is far superior than anything on the market. I have used them all, ammonyx, dawn, laundry soap, tsp, yoiu name it I have tried it. Green Wash wins hands down.
Well I ordered the green wash and a new style brush for scrubing gutters. Got the brush today..... Called today supply company mentioned in this thread, I think, supposed to call me back in 5 min. Let me know about the green wash shipment. Never called me back.
AC is there a supplier here in Florida to get the Greenwash and the Bleachwash from or anyone that we can share shipping expenses with? What would it take for us to become a dealer and how much product would I need to order at a time? Thanks for your time.

I can have it brought in a pallet at a time. 30 5 gallon containers. The shipping is around $350 for the full pallet. We would need to purchase through one of the dealers but yall could have it shipped to my place and break it up from there.
I have cleaned 3-4 roof tops now with the green wash. We are calling it "liquid Gold" All of the benefits from the aforementioned posts are accurate. Buy it use it, profit!
