Had a new roof cleaner come into town from Chattanooga, TN.
He wanted to ride along. I showed him what Ive learned, but told him I don't know as much as alot of other guys. I referred him to this forum and he has joined. I'm not sure if he's posted but he is gung ho to do it right.
He started ouit with a Pitch Witch before he found out about softwashing.
He was SHOCKED at the difference both in time AND quality.
He called me today with the above question and I just told him I use 1/2" with a Delavan 5850.
150' 0f 5/8" , then 150 of 1/2". A little better flow and pressure, but still easy to get around with. I tested it with my flow meter/pressure gauge and found just the right balance for our system.

5/8 clear braided is what I have used for 14 years 300 foot long of hose, it is light and easy to roll up. Of course I learned everything from AC back in the day and made my own improvements over the years.

Jeff,
Thanks for coming to my defense on the other board! I think my greates joy is that you turned out to be a FISHERMAN, a husband and a father. That you paid for it all cleaning roofs is cool. I can still remember the 18 year old kid fresh out of Lyman High School that came in applying for a job. YOU TURNED OUT AWESOME.
