No New Posts Winterizing mix question

(Preview)
With the super low temps we've had recently, my usual mix of 50/50 water to windshield washer fluid is turning to slush and beginning to freeze in my hose.  I've upped the washer fluid to counter this and placed a pipe heater tape around my pump head.  Seems to be working so far, but we were at -2 degrees ye...

No New Posts Placement of Agitator / Jet in Tanks

Where is the best place to physically mount a recirculation jet in a chemical or mix tank? In the corner pointing parallel to the long side or in the middle pointing where-ever? I was just about to mount one in a corner, but thought this is a permanent hole in the tank, I'd better not get it wrong. Does any...

Does anyone have a good system for storing extension poles on their truck with the brushes left on?  I don't like the guys to have to screw on the brush heads on every job.  I want it semi-open for drying, and lockable.  I carry 2 Mr. Long Arm type poles and a carbon water fed.

One of my guys had one of these hose clamp making tools for working on race cars.  It is awesome.  Makes the best hose clamps super cheap.  I have been using one for a year and have not had one leak yet, and even better, no more sharp screw clamp tabs slicing up your hand. Check it out http://www.clamptitet...

One of my penta flex pumps started sounding like a coffee grinder so I took it apart . I found that the bearing that is in the head had gone bad . I got the new bearing from Napa for $15  and changed it out with the bad one . Now my pump sounds like a hummingbird. The Napa part # is in the picture below. When I fix my...

No New Posts New Trailer Build-out

Love my SWS cradle skid and use it every day, but due to the nature of many of the properties we do, I still have a need for a large scale multi-purpose trailer. The old one was getting a little ragged and cramped, so I felt it was time to create a new one. This one features a 350 gallon fresh water tank, 65 gall...

I'm tying to work with an apartment complex for cleaning siding and shingles.  I have the Softwash System rig in my pick-up.  I have no other equipment - except for the ryobi pressure washer 7 hp, 3000 psi, 2.7 gpm that has been in garage for 4 years - I don't know if it will even start.  I have no trailer or t...

Sometimes we just can't quite reach what we need, so we invented this extension to fit on a garden hose for rinsing.

I Have been using one of my Pentaflex pumps for about 4 months now. I am taking it out of my setup for chem application, and reinstalling my beloved Delavan 5850. Too much chemical application and waste for me  with the Pentaflex.    During my change over, I decided to install an electrical distribut...

No New Posts The dangers of pressure washing

It is so important to highlight the dangers of pressure washing and the risk factors.  Here is a roof cleaner in Pembroke Pines, Florida, with two guys, one holding the pressure washer on top of the roof, while the other using a wand to clean the roof.  Base on my estimate, these guys were on the this roof...

This is what I use on my boats and as an option of our equipment. Charges your battery as you drive. Can have up to 3 leads for charging three batteries plus your starting battery. Can also add a AC charger to the pack (pro pack) for charging when you get home and park. I added one to my tournament boat and nev...
