Thanks Darryl!!  I'm near the Ft. Lauderdale area and the damage was mainly trees downing power lines.  We lost power for about a week and with the heat, humidity and no breeze, it was brutal being inside or outside a house.  Thankfully everyone near me was safe and no property damage to most family and friends, but down further south in the Keys people lost everything.   It is going to be months before life gets back up and running down there.  Also, many people that live in South Florida have family in Puerto Rico and Mexico.   Several friends of mine as of last night have not been able get in contact with loved ones to find out if they're safe or not.  Its hard to grasp the reality of what has happened by the pictures and videos, but truly the hard part for the people in the Keys, Puerto Rico and Mexico is only just beginning.
