Thoughts on a used electric reel.

Starting to piece things together for a softwash setup.  Looking for deals to save some pennies right now, until we get some more jobs under our belts to upgrade to the bells and whistles skids eventually.  Been looking at reels to use, ordered a Liberty Hose Reel for $85 that will hold a little more than 200' 5/8"... will probably just use it for water hose.  For a chemical reel, i just ran across a used electric hose reel, and thought i would run it by you guys to get your thoughts.

Stainless steel, 12", no identification on the reel, but the motor is an Imperial Electric motor model P56AN230... serial number implies that it was made in 2003.  Google says that this model motor is used on various reel manufacturers like Cox and Hannay.  Prices on the motor are $250-$350 online, from what i can tell.

He says the motor works, and is asking $350, but it would take me like a 3 hour trip to get it... so i dunno... thinking about throwing $200 out there to see what happens?

I know there is a risk with used stuff, but i figure if the motor craps out, at least i would still have a reel.  Also, I know in the long run it's usually best to pony up the money for new stuff from the start, but if this turned out to be a decent deal, i thought i might go for it.  What do you guys think?  Worth a shot?  If so, what would you say a good price would be for it?  Here are some pics:
