Just a quick housekeeping guidelines/etiquette when posting.
- When posting something, try to put the thread in the proper topic area. Please do not post under other companies sub-forums or blogs. Also, do not post under other states sub-forums or blogs. Your post in the wrong areas will be moved or deleted. If you post the same thing multiple times, in different areas, the correct post will remain and the others deleted.
Just trying to keep the forum clean and productive!
Suggestion/Challenge- 'Recent Posts' has no way for us to quickly determine what is viewable by the public or not. (Of course we can look back to the Home page first before commenting each time but with multiple topics and lots of valuable comments and advice going back and forth each day, its easy to forget to do that every time). I have seen many posts here in my brief time that I know fellow softwashers would not (should not!) want the public (their customers) to see.
Case in point- just a few weeks ago we did a Google search of our company name and on page two, in bold, was "Just did my first roof" as the heading ( topic from this forum). Just beneath this heading was my personal name and my company name and address. I only offered some advice on this post but it looked like "Just did my first roof' was my post. Of course if one clicked on this heading from Google you would see that I was only commenting but most potential customers won't do that.
Seems like this is a fixable problem for a tech expert??? Maybe all topics viewable by the public should have red fonts as heading/subject and non-viewable by public green??? Not sure but my point here is-be careful what you post!!!!

Well said, John. Locating the proper forum is not that difficult a task, and should be the responsibility of all members to follow protocol.
Brandon started a post a few months ago on "public vs. private". It's good business to know that sometimes what you post is not "for members only". Be mindful of your comments in the public areas. Again, good housekeeping.
I think Steve has a valid point on the "Recent Posts" area. Yes, it states the forum. But an asterisk or simple code designating public or private would be a great advantage and time saver.
