Jeff, you should have no trouble finding exactly what you're looking for closer to Baltimore or college town. Seems to be more construction going on in and around major cities and college towns. More construction = more available used trucks.
If you are willing to make a drive I saved like $4000-$5000 buying a truck in Houston, TX. Oil companies dump used work trucks all over town there constantly.

Huh....What did you get Chad and how much. Would only be a 30 hr round trip drive. Might be worth it. Getting ready for a new truck.
Sorry, been busy. I got a 2007 F250 King Cab with an 8 foot bed, 2 wheel drive, gas engine. This is the exact truck I was looking for. It had 128,000 miles on it, and I picked it up for $7800. I was looking and higher mileage trucks around here with a little rust on them for $11,000. A bonus was my brother lives in Houston and owns a graphics company that does truck wraps. He picked it up, had a mechanic go through it, and had it wrapped for me before I even got there. I removed the rear seat and bolted a wood platform to the floor and a wood bulkhead to the rear wall.
I was lucky the truck has been good mechanically, but I figured it was a gamble buying anything, and the savings was worth it.
