I put a set of before and after pics of a slate roof and I recently found out some people that serve my area are using these pics. It is a really good before and after. They are claiming it to be there work which is wrong. So if you would stop that would be awesome. Just a heads up to the rest of you guys. Watermark your pics.
The way you say it Mike, it sounds like it is someone on this forum too. I hope it gets resolved soon. It's a shame they chose this tactic. If they had taken the high road and worked cooperatively with you it would have been better for them. They could have potentially gotten some overflow work if you were too busy, borrowed chemicals from you if they suddenly got hit with a big job, gone in together to buy larger bulks of chemicals to save you both money just to scratch the surface. There are so many reasons why that was a bad idea.
Oh, I wasn't looking for a name, I was just a bit depressed that someone on this forum would take those measures when if anybody has spent any time reading these forums it is all about each of us doing what we can to help each other openly. All anybody has to do is ask.
Anybody know who this picture belongs to by the way? It's a pretty good picture and I'd love to use it but I don't know who owns this photo. I had Googled roof cleaning and gone to images and it was one of thousands I viewed over the past several months.

That actually looks like a Roof Shamp** or other pressure washed roof. I find it hard to believe someone achieved that sharp of a line with a soft wash type spray. You can even see how the surface cleaner snaked back and fourth a bit on the roof. Also, I would guess the dark algae in between the cleaned part and the dirty part is wet, untreated GM. Plus, that really looks like a high pressure hose laying on the roof.
In short, I would not use this photo.

Chad, when I looked at the line between clean and dirty I thought the same thing, but until yesterday I had it stuck in my head that this picture belonged to a SW professional on these forums. I found the person/company I thought it was a "Tri???" company around Richmond, VA. The company I was thinking of was actually Triton, and they are in NY, but had a picture on their gallery in front of the Richmond, VA race track. Now I'm certain that isn't their picture.
Nice watermark Mike! That bold line underneath the diamond adds a nice touch.
I'm going to watermark my images really soon. I'm seeing some of my photos from my website on other SW websites. The images were from Ray Burke, but I had Photoshoped the images of the before and after into a single image, which is on a website of a company several hours north of me. I don't mind people using the image, but it would have been nice they had at least had the courtesy to ask first before hijacking my images.
