After a company breakfast at Xavier's restaurant (one of our long-time customers of 15+ years), All-Clean hosted it's quarterly Safety Day yesterday.

Paul Lagerstedt with Super Anchor Safety came down from Seattle and provided all the continuing education for the event. Who thought safety could be so much fun?? Overall, the event was a total blast and a great team building exercise. Paul showed off some really awesome harnesses that we will be upgrading ours to. He also showed us some very cool, simple soft rope-grabs - he called them "monkey fists". NASA uses this kind over mechanical rope grabs. They work AWESOME.

Since all of our guys wear harnesses on a daily basis, comfort was the word of the day today. One of my guys commented on how "he could sleep in this". It also has a built in belt that you can install bags for screws/nails and hammer loops. 

We are also rolling out the service of installing permanent roof anchors for customers, since an alarmingly high number of apartment complexes have zero anchor points on most of the roofs we clean. This eliminates the need for patching holes during temporary anchor installations. 

It also makes apartment complexes OSHA compliant and allows other contractors (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, gutters) as well as maintenance men to access the roof safely without adding more unnecessary holes.

We spent several hours to ensure that all of our guys knew exactly how to properly install these life-saving tools.
