I get frequent call as a pro staff member of SWS regarding the booster pump, and always happy to help however i can.

In this short video of a church complex cleaning in Apalachicola, Florida I show the booster pump being used. Hope this will help answer some of your questions by seeing it in action.

Looked great. Would live to get a shot of a big wasp nest getting rinsed away or a mud daubers nest being rinsed off after treatment with our chems.

Hello, I saw this topic and wanted to jump in! I added the water booster pump to my SWS arsenal and it has saved the day numerous times!  Some  examples are when I had to bring water to the job using my 100 and 40 gallon tanks to rinse with, poor pressure from wells and not to mention the time saved with bleach wash application and reach, and in rinsing generally.

I always use a GFI designed for exterior environments and since I upgraded to a heavier gauge of the extension cord, I have not had any issues with blown home owners fuses. (knock on wood!)

Its a great investment and huge time saver.

Hope all is good!

V/R Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Do you use any kind of pressure switch or pressure relief valve on your Dayton pump?

if so, can you include a picture of how it is plumbed?

Is the pressure relief valve to keep the pump from burning up in low water situations?

Is a pressure switch designed to keep the pressure from building up to burst your hoses?

Good seeing you in here, Jeff. Thanks for the rides in Orlando! blankstare

Still learning,

vic

Hello Vic!  I had good intention of adding a pressure switch, or going brand new with ACs booster pump pack for my Gen 2 skid to retro fit but never made it to either one unfortunately.

But yes, the pressure switch prevents the hose from splitting as the booster pump just keeps running without a pressure switch. I have been using a Lowes GFI switch used for heavy extension cords fairly well. But i still need to let the hose bleed water while moving around or going back to the GFI to turn of the pump. The booster pump isn't the only thin running!

A pressure switch and proper plumbing to the 40 or 50 buffer tank is the way to go! i will get there one of these days!

Good Luck!

V/r Jeff

Jeff sounds like your only using the booster pump for rinsing? When install that pressure switch please take video or pics I'd like to see how that works.
