Yeah the wood will clean at a lesser strength. You need to either boost the CH a little bit or try augmenting.

I would think so, The stronger you make it, the faster it works. You can't mix ch to strong. It Doesn't kill plants

The one mistake i did make was when i started to spray this roof. turn the pump on and just spraying up a storm going on great waited for 15 min to see if anything would happen nothing. then it dawned on me i never charged the system the only thing  i was spraying was fresh water..DA...SO live and learn that would happen again...i hope

I've been using CH for the last month.  I'm not sure, but I don't think CH works as well as SH when it is cold - or the water is still very cold.  Try adding fresh n clear to the mix.  Also try adding  1 cup roof snot to to your mix on the steep pitches.

DA....I like that...LOL

I had the same issue on my first job. I use SH and not CH but the end result is a clean roof so the concept is the same......meaning that my mix was too weak.

I keep playing with it and tweaking a bit here and there. I also found that your mix will become weak after as little as one day. I had a strong mix then went to shoot a demo a day and a half later with terrible results. I had to make a new batch just to shoot my demo.

It supercharges it for about 12 hours give or take until it uses up the chlorine in the mix then your left with salt water.

Tim you are right about CH not working as well as SH when it is cold. If it is under 50 degrees we will add a few ounces of Fresh n Clear to the mix. CH also is not as fast-acting as SH. And less is more - spray it in lighter coats and allow the oxygen to work.

The CH that was left over and stored at the pool stores over the winter will not be as potent. If you use more there will be more haze. I'd recommend using some more Green Wash and some pixie dust. One more coat should do it as well.

You should be able to make it look brand new no question. If what you are using is old then what you think is 4% could actually be like 1%. It needs to be hit with a stronger mix most likely.

CH will not dissolve enough in cold water to make more than a 4% solution.

The question is really how fresh is this 6%. Is it fresh and 6% or is it old and far weaker. I would check to see if there are any local companies that can deliver.
