Looking to track more precisely for where most of our work is and also for routing. This way when someone calls I can look at the map and determine if we can give sameday service.

Thats not a bad idea. I have routing software but a board is a good idea for tracking. We had service autopilot last year I'm switching to jobber this year

Look into Mhelp desk they will match jobbers pricing and just came out with a new map tracking application that works with the scheduling

I like the support from jobber. I also have a landscaping business so it goes hand in hand. Real green is nice, but way too expensive. I got by last year just using QuickBooks after I canceled service autopilot. Got tired of all the glitches

I would like AC to chime in to answer my main question if he could. What company does the printing of the maps? I am not buying a TV to put a map on.

I can't find who I used Mike, I just price shopped.
Not too push the subject but a TV is better. It is the same cost and you can make it so it can switch between having the map on display and having your Dispatch board on display if you want too. Hey and if you are done with it for whatever reason you will have a nice new flatscreen and not a dry erase board that will never have another use.

Zach isn't your computer constantly have to be running? I do not want to tie up my desk top with a map.

It would not be your desktop, it would be a separate monitor. Don't think I am trying to talk to into a monitor or anything but I wish I had gone that route.

How do you have a separate monitor hooked up? Can both monitors have a different screen shot?

I haven't looked into how to do it, since I am not doing it yet. But yes you can have one with a map, another with your desktop and another with your dispatch.

I believe you may need to add a graphics card to your motherboard? They are not expensive, unless their is another option?

There is a dual or split screen option with most computers, but I'm not sure how it works, I have just seen it done. I had one at my old office that our company computer guy set up. Two monitors with different applications open in each.

Most computers will accept two monitors. Once you go past two is when you need to add another graphics card. Most of the time. Having two monitors is the best move I ever made. I'm upgrading to three in the spring Using two monitors is just like one. You can drag and drop across the screens

Mike, We printed our map at staples. You can go to office depot just check your local prices. Our local sign shop that wrapped our trucks made our 8x4 dry erase board for 250.00

you can get a HDMI splitter to hoot up two monitors as well.
