Here are scenes from this weekends labors. The Fort Knox Executive Center in Tallahassee is home to the Florida Agency for Heath Care Administration. Spray Wash has been selected to clean all three buildings in the complex. This weekend we were able to clean two of them, with the exception of the windows on the solid Gray building.
Here are some job notes...
The buildings are in horrible condition. The paint has totally failed due to years of neglect. We were hired to make it look better, but we disclosed that these structure would be far from "like new" after our cleaning. The Gray and Red building is sheathed in concrete panels (similar to a Hardy-board material). In some areas the pain it total eaten away from years of algae.
We did not clean the windows on the solid gray building. I will be acid washing them next weekend with my cradle skid. The haze that can be seen on them is actually from failing paint. That building is constructed of poured concrete.
We only used a lift over the atrium doorways of the solid gray building. The stairwells have a faux chrome on the railings and accents, and I was concerned about overspray tarnishing them, as we had to use a 3% mixture to make a dent in the algae.
The Gray and Red building had to be cleaned with a lift, as the angles did not allow for good rinsing. It too was cleaned at 3%.
