Because I have decided to fill the 100% biodegradable, Non-Haz space I have limitations on how much cling vs. foam I can generate. High foaming or high cling products GENERALLY contain phosphates and or other chemicals that are either not biodegradable and or are pollutants that violate the clean water act. I cannot say this specifically about anyone else’s products only in absolutes about mine. I know that because of my commitment to being 100% biodegradable and non-haz I cant get more foam than I currently have in my chems. However as you add more Green Wash you will get more foam and cling. This will run up your cost per gallon of mixed chems, however so will adding additional products. Based on that I would experiment on using more Green Wash. Our systems are set to pulse (inject) Green Wash at 1 oz per gallon of mixed ready to spray chemical.

I have also found traveling the country and cleaning (softwashing) more surfaces than possibly anyone else in the industry that technique is PARAMONT in controlling run-off and also allowing better dwell times and oxygen penetration. Putting chems on too heavy actually limits the penetration of air (oxygen) into the chemical reaction and slows cleaning time. This makes technicians add more and more chemical in a downwardly spiraling cycle of chemical overuse.

Generally the answer is not MORE PRODUCTS though chemical salespersons would like you to believe that. Technique and self-control have proven to be way more effective.

Good advice on the chemical usage, I will start tracking that immediately, thank you!

You are correct! they have been upping the mix to a 25% SH to 75% water with the Green wash added in. Is that too strong? This morning I told everyone it's a mandatory 20% mix backed down from 25%

We are getting great money for our jobs and the techs are making good money, however I understand that everybody gets greedy it's just human behavior.

I appreciate your help and advice.

One more question, I have heard this product has been working pretty good as far as keeping the run off down to a minimum, any advice or remarks to add?

We track the time in on a job, the time out and how many gallons of SH used (concentraited) This makes it easy to run a report at the end of the week. If a crew has short job cycles, but high SH use you will see burn. No questions!

Start tracking this and you will see that what I say is true.

Also this could be a sales person problem…….. If a salesperson is selling cheap and the crews feel a need to turn on the heat to get the entire schedule done within allotted time. There will be more missed spots and plant damages.

Hey Bud,

We have been struggling with some plant damage lately, my guys tell me they are following protocol, however judging by these pics I think not.

Any suggestions, we are eliminating run off by doing simple small counts and letting the area dry first then re applying. 

I also heard this is a good product to use after we spray, is this something we need, or does the plant wash already have stuff like this in it?

I appreciate any suggestions - do you have a link you send me that walks you through your whole process? I may have to do some training from the beginning again.
