I quoted and landed a metal roof job today. The roof looks exactly like a asphalt shingled roof, but it is metal with a coating to look like asphalt. It is showing signs of black streaks and even has lichen growing on it, has anyone dealt with this type of roof yet. I am thinking a 1.5 - 2% mix with a rinse then a BW with a final rinse?

Yeah, its a stone coated. be careful walking on them, there basically on a piece of sheet metal and they can bend easily...i clean them just like a shingle roof.
We have done about 10 of these this year. All of them were terracota barrel tile replicas. As Doug said be careful on them they will dent. They are a low gage galvalume or steel panel that is stone coated. The popular manufacturer in my region is Decora. We cleaned all off them with a 3% mix and no bleach wash. Two of them had a lot of lichen at the barrel edges. cleaned up just like a shingle.
Thanks for the info. We have done metal roofs up here but this is the first one that is coated. One good thing about this one is that We will not have to get on the roof. It is a single story ranch style home.
