Bleach Wash Addition

Mathew,

I like the idea of a dedicated tank w/ pump and hose. We have been using the outdoor Windex bottle (credit goes to Doug Ford @ MidSouth ProWash).

As for running BW through your main pump, we flush our pump, hose, and reel with BW at the end of everyday. Just be sure to flush it out with fresh water before your start your next day. Knock on wood, I've been using the same pump for almost a year now.

Is anyone or has anyone comtemplated with the idea of using a seperate system (pump/hose/tank) for applying bleach wash? I am thinking about purchasing a cheap pentaflex pump, 200" of poly hose and rig it to a 35 or 40 gallon tank I can fit onto the  front end of my SWS skid.

I love the results of the bleach wash  and have been adding a $100-150 upcharge depending on home size to apply it because it's very time consuming to do with a hose end sprayer. Figure I could breeze through a home in much less time and rinse by using a seperate hose and pump thus cutting the cost to make it affordable for the homeowner while increasing my time to take on other jobs.

Additionally, I don't want to run by bleach wash through the SWS skid and run the risk of killing my SH mix in the tank or weakening the SH if bleach wash is left in the hose.

Thoughts?

Matthew
We are in the same boat on this one. I want two things faster

1) Bleach Wash Applicator
2) Faster Rinsing system This is where all our time is going right now, and it drives me nuts we can't keep moving right along.

I purchased a 1.2 horse booster pump from Northern Tools, but I do not think it is big enough yet

I am also running into several rural water systems that just do not put out enough water.

Steve,

I have heard talk about the booster pumps but don't know how its incorporated into the system. Do you attach to the skid and run fresh water through it? Please bring me through the process if you get a moment.

The skid I have has the pw on it and we have used it to sinse a few times when the water pressure just isn't enough to do the job. I have used it to also put bleach and plant wash down

Has worked well

All - Thanks for the info. I ordered a pump & hose and also found a cheap 26-gallon and 16-gallon "spot sprayer" tank at Northern Tool. When it's all set-up, I will post some pictures and let folks know how it's working out. Figure if I can save time on applying bleach wash than I can cut costs on labor and in return, make the bleach wash upgrade a little more addordable for the homeowner.
