Hi Guys,

Let me start by saying I have leant alot on this forum about the Softwashing business thanks guys,I'm from the Isalnd of St.Lucia,it's in the Caribbean and I'm the first to introduce softwash to the Island.I got my system from Powerwashstore.com and Bill has been a great help.

My question is I can only get 6% or 12% SH over here and most of the mixes I'm seeing is 10%,can anyone help me out here.Cause I dont want to have to strong of a mix that would do any demage the roof, plants or property.

Should I use less gallons pre.mix with 12% or just use it as is,and know that the Green Wash helps the bleach, bleach better.

We have most metal roof over here, any suggestions.

The 12% SH is what is used. In the states we use a 12.5% mix, that can actually range up to around 15% based on where its made, what type of water was used to make it,etc..... The mixology charts are based on a 12-12.5% strength SH. That would work fine for you. If you are doing metal roofs, I would start at a 1% strength misee what've what kind of results you get, but would not go any higher. I would rather hit the roof with a light second coat if necessary that risk paint damage. As specially some of the cheaper baked enamel finishes that are out there. A Kynar 500 finish should be fine, but did he owner pay for the upgraded paint. You vcan also, bleach wash the metal when done for a uniform shine.

hope this helps, and my wife and I love your island! We have been here times times. Once on our honeymoon 12years ago.

Its was my mums roof I have be running my test, roof has being on for about 16yrs. now and that was the reason for me getting into the softwash bussiness. So i had to start on her roof first.

I did try to 1% mix but didn't like the results,so i bump it up to a 2% mix and had much better results.Still have some touching up tp do but it looks great already.

I will posting some before and after pic to see the difference.
