Ok I got a call the other day from a woman who wamts me to clean her porch. NO BIG DEAL right? So i go to meet with her and see the job. I get there and here is the real story, A nurse working from her home set a chair (vinyl) and a snow shovel (plastic)on fire while smoking, The damage is not to extensive however there is about a 2' X 12" area with MELT stuk into the concrete, Anyone ever deal with this type of job? How did you do it? Open to ideas. Even at 16 degrees it was not shattering as I thought it might its stuck pretty well.
Actually going to try a slag scrapper from my roofing days but Im trying to get it from the "pores" of the cement, is there something safer than acetone to break it down chemically? Hot Water?
After you scrape it off then use a hot water machine and it should loosen up the plastic from the pores. I would just be careful to not shoot the melted plastic all over the place.
Use a propane asphalt torch to heat it and then wisk it away with COLD water so it doesnt spread it gets heated, loosened and then thrown aside with cold water.
