It pains me to admit this, But we are antiquated with our business software. And by antiquated I mean we have no business software. We still manually add our receipts, expenses, and invoices. My goal for 2013 is to become more automated in our office procedures. What software are you using to manage your receivables and expenditures?

Ray I suck when it comes to quickbooks and that trash. I bought quickbooks last year, I have it, I hate it, I barely use it. I am not sure how it works for windows but if you have MAC.... their is a program called express invoice... It is the BEST starter software ever. My suggestion is try express invoice (IT'S FREE) see how you like it, play around with it. Then if your ready go with a quickbooks if you need too.
Ray,
I've been looking at service autopilot for about 6 mos or so. They have tons of built in features and it is the best I've seen, by far. The owner took me through an online demo/tour. They also appear to have some pretty great cust svc. Chris Madden mentioned them in another post awhile back. I plan to switch to them in a month or two. I'll let you know if my opinion changes after I make the switch.

Service Auto Pilot is by far the best, and most comprehensive business operations tool out there Hands down.......
I have looked at and used Many Many different programs and services over the past 5-6 years looking for the best, and Service
Auto Pilot beats them all.
Johnathan Pototschnik is one of the co-founders and I have talked with him on the phone several times regarding
their service. They are constantly adding features and making the service better and better every day.
It is a web based service accessible from any Internet connection, including android and IOS devices.

you all should check out "wave accounting".. its awesome! its totally free, you can access it from any online computer /phone/tablet.. you can send/track invoices, set up credit card payments from those electronic invoices. it will do estimates, store all your clients emails.. Links up to your credit cards and bank accounts to track every transaction so there are no more receipts, created invoices, tracks late payments, bills, income, basically all cash flow.. it learns you spending habits and analyzes and categorizes your spending and puts it into a graph so you can easily view it. At the end of the year you can give you accountant a "accountant password" and they log on from there computer and they have everything neatly there to do your taxes.. It is a awesome service for free, does everything I need plus some.
