Did a roof today in cold weather about 6-7C or about 42F. My SH comes in 25ltr drums and I store it outside. We had a fairly hard frost last night so the SH was pretty cold today. The slate roof we did was wet before starting.

We sprayed on the 3%( approx) mix and retreated it twice afterwards., but it didn't seem to work very well. Could someone tell me if  a) it was too cold for the mix to work. b) should we be using the bleach accelerator. c) Would it be a good idea to make up the mix with warm water. Or does someone have a way of getting  roofs cleaned on cold days.

Looking forward to your thoughs

Michael

fresh and clear from Leslie pool add 4 ounces to 50 gal mix ... just started using it this month and it works great so far. makes your 3% mix act like 3% mix on cold days .... it will make your mix go bad over night so make sure to use most of your tank

I have cleaned some down around 38-40 degrees using 4% it worked fine, make sure your SH is fresh and I was adding about 48 ounces of greenwash to a 50 gallon mix. I didn't have to use fresh & clear or warm water. We did have a nice still sunny day though and that does make a difference or at least in my experience it has.
