This will be my first attempt at utilizing the Soft Wash method. With guidence from many professionals on this site I'm confident in the process and expect simular results that I've seen in b/a pictures. Compared to the same b/a pictures I've seen I would consider this roof to be light to moderate staining. Would any of you agree? Judging from the charts I have seen ( and not being a roofer) I am guessing this to be a 5/12 pitch. I went up on the roof and walked around and my legs didnt turn to jello so it can't be to steep. I'm still unclear on pricing so if anyone would talk to me in a pm about it it would be greatly appreciated.
UPDATE: Success !! I chose to go with ch because of two main reasons: 1. minimize plant damage 2. I dont have 12% sh available. Here are some after pictures. We had a really good rain over night. I had zero (0) plant damage. The burnt bush is from the summer drought. I went with 4% mix. At first I thought it wasnt working fast enough. So I told myself to believe in the process, and continued spraying. I went down a couple times to let it dwell. I litteraly sat with a glass of tea and watched the GM dissapear. It was fantastic. Not to bad for a new guy :)

I'm currious AC, why the CH recommendation on this roof? Is it the light color or lower pitch that hides the residue? Or the light staining? If so at what point would you recommend SH instead.

Thats light to moderate staining. Should clean up in one pass with a bump here and there. Us CH on a roof like this. You wont see any residue. The pitch is a 4/12 or a lil less. Download Pitch Guage to your Android based phone and it has a level that uses your camera that tells pitch.
The way my tank is designed there are areas in the bottom that the ch can settle. Im thinking about dissolving it in a 5 gal bucket in warm water before adding it to the tank

Give it a try and pour it through a cloth to catch additional residue.
I would just stick with SH. Nothing against AC but there is a bad residue with the store bought CH. Get yourself 15 gallons of Sh and make a 50 gallon (total mix) so add 35 gallons of water and for now you can use 32 ounces of Dawn( when you get going use the green wash). Have your wife or who ever water the plants while you spray and you will be a believer of the magic too. Good luck and take pictures.
