Hey Burke how are you getting those commercial jobs. Just walking in the door and asking for the manager then leaving them with a packet of information. I remember talking to you down in Florida and you told me that was what you were doing. im really trying to get into more commercial jobs but i find it difficult. i have not tried that approach yet but working on a commercial portfolio to give the manager of the buildings. Any tips?
Josh, Most of our commercial accounts take a few months to develop. It's basically a soft sell/relationship building exercise. Find out who the decision maker is, ask to meet with them for a VERY BRIEF time...5 minutes. Set a Reason to follow up. Let them talk, many times we rarely talk about cleaning and most times the appointment goes much longer than five minutes.
If you promise to follow up, be sure to do just that!!
Also, remember that dirty properties aren't always your best target. Many times they are dirty because mgr doesnt care/not in budget. Clean places means someone is taking care of it.
Feel free to call if you want to talk on the phone. Evenings are the best time to reach me.
