I have a copper roof that I need to clean. Looking for a way to speed up the process. Usually I'd hot water, low-pressure, pressure wash it, but that's time consuming and raises my price quit a bit.
I don't think pouring SH on it is a good idea, so I'm wondering if there's a safe chem I can use and run it through one of my 12v pumps?
Also have a plastic sign to clean. I should be able to use a 1% SW mix on that, no? This sign is old and not in great shape, so that kinda raised an eyebrow when I looked at it. I noted the wear and tear on the sign in my quote.
My time window on this job is 6hrs from store close to open. They want the entire property cleaned, including the roof, walls, some rust stain removal on the building, the windows, the ouside dinning area including tables/chairs, walks, drive thru, dumpster pad, curbing, signs, and asphalt lot.
I have to admit... This is where softwash education would really come in handy. Unfortunately, I barely have time to sleep these days, but I need to allot some time to start taking the training modules, otherwise I'm probably going to get even less sleep because I tend to shy away from that which I don't know and go back to my old pressure washing ways, which always takes more time.
That is not a true copper roof. It is aluminum powder-coated or enamel in a copper color. Basically a painted metal roof. You can easily clean it with a 1% soft wash solution and rinse with clean water. Then apply Bleach Wash, rinse again and it will be clean, waxed and good to go.
