Yes, I understand. When I start posting current work all files with be prefixed with something like Exterior_Cleaning_NW_FL.
Right now I'm just trying to build a poltfolio to show people who visit the site what kind of work we can do. Unfortunately, all my digital pics got wiped out when I had a hard drive crash a couple of years ago. We are scrounging through every box we have in storage looking for originals. What a nightmare.
I've noticed in the vBulletin control panel for creating articles, that the new system automatically formats SEO links with dashes and removes some superfluous words like 'to' and 'and'.
You stuff keywords between the dashes in the form of a title. Google picks up on the words between the dashes but not before spaces. Spaces turn into %20 between the other words when expanded in your browser. I have just spent the last 4 months redoing my entire website for SEO purposes. I had to rename every single pic. When you look through the portfolio at the pics note how I renamed them. Talk about monotonous and boring... Hopefully by February I will be through with my final changes to my website...

It is just correct coding for a spider to read where you want a space.
I have taken numorious seo classes etc and have asked the question. Sure it may help you by 2% in the grand scheme of your website and is a neat and clean formula to name pics but IMO that is about it. Not going to make a site that is lacking, or break a site that is fundamentally sound.
IMO your better off using that time/motivation to create new content that is optimized/coded properly and start using the naming scheme then.
I have a few websites and have entire sites/blogs with over 500 pictures using this formula competing against well written/coded pages with NO alt tags in pics or optimized naming formulas and the better written/coded page wins every time.
I used to focus and almost be obsessed with 'gaming' google. Largest waist of time and motivation I have expended yet since I started this adventure. I have been #1 for my aop before and made less money than I am now sitting at 2-4.
Create a good well written site using adobe etc, update the site, focus fire the keywords/backlinks and let that turkey sloooow cook. This is pressure washing or whatever you want to sell it as and lets face it, there are not millions of people searching for the service like they would be searching for a plumber when they have **** running into the living room.
I'd like to ask a question.
Does anyone here or in the bulliting board dreamworld know ANYONE that is getting wealthy cleaning roofs etc that has been around 5+ years?
I know you will ask 'define wealth', I define that as a self serving autonomous business that enables me to do wtf ever I want to.
Ok I feel better now. I just had a 1-11 death streak in battlefield three and decided I needed to change to the recon class from the engineer class but came here and saved you time instead! I think I can get back to wtfowning people again without dying all over the place.
Thank you for your time.
/off_good_night <-- optimized bull****!!!
