SH Resistant In Tank Contaminant Filter

Buy all the parts at HD

1. Sand Filter Cartridge.
2. 1.5" PVC elbow.
3. 1.5" to 3/4" reducer.
4. 3/4" pvc pipe.
5.  3/4" bulk head fitting.

The sand filter cartridge has a poly screen sweat welded to it that is very resistant to SH and or CH. The filter also has an O ring so you dont need to glue it in. It just fits in like it was made to do that. That makes it easy to replace. It has a much smaller mesh than a SS strainer or even well head pipe which some companies reccomend. Here are some pix of how you assemble the parts.
