Spend the night at the firehouse shoveling paths wide enough to get the stretcher in and out of patients houses just to be able to get them to the ambulance. Left the firehouse yesterday morning as soon as possible and started blowing snow for Let Us Spray customers so they wouldn't be stranded.
All were very happy and relieved to be able to get out of their homes if need be. Worked until I could do no more.
I'm very tempted to look into purchasing a plow for the truck. Just afraid it'll never snow again if I do!
This storm paid for the shiney new plow on the dodge. Covered my labor for my employee and gas for both trucks, and put a couple thousand in my pocket. We got any where from 18-24 inches in some spots.
We had plenty to spare for sure around the Richmond, VA area! Although after being on conference calls with people from the Baltimore, MD area, we got off easy. From what I've heard we're supposed to be getting dumped on again in about another week, after about a week of 45-65 degree weather. Probably not all that great for the plants.
