A lot of us use Univar Mini Bulk. You can call them and see if they service your area. Couple things, they will not service a residential dwelling and you must have the room for 550-2000 gallon tank. Search the thread mini balk or Univar on this BB and you will find stuff.

I was able to get them to give me a 250 gallon to start with, and I can upgrade to bigger anytime for free. Size of tank may be dependent on your area. We are still trying to break open the roof cleaning market here. I'm still doing much more siding than roofs. We use a lot less mixing 1/2- 1% than if we were making a lot of roof mix. If I get big jobs they can have more to me in 1-2 days notice.

Ron, John is right about Univar. As long as you have a commercial site, they will set you up with the size Mini Bulk tank that suits your needs. And at no charge. If you're site is residential, you can buy 53 gallon drums from them. You just need a way to unload and a safe place to store.

Hey Ron, I am in SoCal as well (San Diego county specifically). Where are you located? There is a Univar location down in National City where I get my 53 gal drums. That is the closest for me, but since I don't have a commercial space yet I have to rent an enclosed Uhaul trailer and pick up a drum at a time from them. It's very inconvenient but it's still a lot cheaper than buying by the gallon (I believe the per gallon price on drums through Univar comes to around $2.25) and it's what I have to do until I can get into a commercial space. I believe there is another Univar location up in LA if you're more up that way.

You can also look at using a storage unit. Not the national type of chain but a mom and pop. You just need to run a garden hose and install a safety wash station. It propably depends on area.

I looked at the storage unit option, too. I decided to move my shop so I didn't pursue it. Make sure the unit is one you can back in to easily, and that Univar can get a cube truck to. Also, my Univar rep did not require an eye wash station or a shower, which I have seen some do. She said a hose was fine, and actually as good or better, as you get more volume. They required it to be within 20 feet of the tank.

Any one know where I can get fresh bulk SH in Connecticut. I can't do a mini bulk tank yet but 50 gallon totes would work. I have been buying it at pool supply stores and paying too much plus strength is 12% id like 14% so I'm at least getting 12% strength. (Did that make sense? I don't know)

Josh...I'm in the Riverside county area, so National City and LA are probably about the same distance. I'll look into that...thanks!!
