So I've tried starting my own soft wash business and without even advertising I have job offers stacking up. I'm wanting to get started on them as soon as possible but I'm still stuck on chemicals like where to buy them and what is exactly needed. I've looked at insurance and no one will insure me until I use biodegradable chemicals.... which does no include bleach or chlorine and no one that I don't personally know will hire me without insurance. If I can get any info at all it would be GREAT, thank you.
Nick use the search button and it will help you greatly. Look up joe Walters insurance co. He is a specialist for what we do. Have you cleaned a roof yet? Do you have equipment? Have you filed your business yet with your state? Most importantly do you have a plan?
You shouldn't touch a customers house( non family member) until you have your system down and have washed a few roofs.
Nick...I agree with everything Michael said. I use Joe Walters, Bonnie was able to give me more coverage, residential/commercial and roof work....saved me several hundred dollars a year over my other company I had for 10 years. Get your equipment setup and practice on family members homes for free...more than likely they will pay you anyway. The search box on this page has helped me learn a lot and everyone on here is very helpful with your questions. As for your SoftWash chemicals give Russ a call at Southside Equipment in Louisville, KT (502-231-6506). Set yourself up for success and good luck!
Insurance shouldn't be a problem. Like the other said, Joe Walters is a good source. Personally, I use a local agent in Tallahassee for a 2M commercial account. I think insurance would be the least of your worries...good training and some practice is what you'll really want to focus on!
Also, if Russ at Southside is busy, the fellows at the PowerWash Store ( Bill and Paul) are awesome to work with!

Take the online classes on plant protection and mixology. It is worth the money to fly to the revolution camp in CT.The more training shortens the learning curve and by talking with other guys you will learn about pricing jobs etc. Also bleach and the greenwash and bleach wash are all biodegradeable.
