Dont have a gauge. Its obvious just by watching and the way my surfacecleaner works something is wrong. Machine puts out 3500 psi 5.5 gpm andI could wash my hands in the water stream.

Pull the check valves out and check for a broken spring or debris stuck in the valve.

Check valves were all ok. Called Russ at Southside where I got my machine and it turns out it was my chemical injector for downstreaming. It was defective somehow forcing my water to go into the bypass. So basically half was coming out the gun, and half being dumped back into my tank resulting in low pressure.....weird.

That's a surprise. When trouble shooting these issues disconnect all assecories past the pump. Russ is an amazing mechanic.

Not so weird really. Many times, when machines sit for a while, a bit of corrosion develops inside the coil. The injector has an orifice in it not much larger than your discharge nozzle, and small pieces of crud can partially or completely block it off, resulting in excess bypass.

I've gotten into the habit a long time ago to always rinse clean, clear water through my downstream injector so as to clean it out and wash as much SH mix away as possible. I now run a quart of BW through it as well to neutralize any SH residue.

Good advice Mark. I just took the downstreamer right off the rig. Don't see a need for it. I have two 50 gallon stand alone tanks I can draw out of using the Fatboy.

The xjet replaced our down streamers for house wash. We modify them from the start. Add a 100 ft. hose and QC to a jug. We wash the roof and house at the same time on most jobs so we need the roof mix hose up there.

That downstreamer is just sucking air when you want more water at low pressure anyway.

It's sad but we really throw most of what comes on the x-jet away. I had a dozen downstreamers laying around and couldn't even give them away. Our Landa unit came with an upstream we may use for hydroxide on commercial concrete.
