i am going to look at a synthetic slate roof tomorrow and was looking at any input regarding the synthetics. Have done regular slate at 100% SH no additives. Good on tiles; bad on copper gutters!
Anyway will probably treat with a similar mix to Ray's on that Presbyterian building At FSU. Was it.....3% and green wash I think? ( Reg. roof wash?!)
Here's the house. It's actually not that badly infected. I doubt you can even tell from the photos. I am estimating about 225 gallons of mix. The only problem is that there is copper flashing in the valley and also the snow stops are copper. Any ideas on working around that? Also, on previous straight SH slates i've done I rinsed after. Would Ya'll? Thoughts on Copper and rinsing...?
....yeah I started thinking about that after I posted....Where the heck did that # come from? I was thinking the same on the flashing. Hope there's descent water pressure...
