It is funny. I have seen so many companies try to make the lifetime warranty with an every 6 months booster treatment work. It never has anything to do with keeping the roof clean but rather keeping in the home owners wallet with a reoccurring revenue business model. In every case these companies and even franchises either fail or do not grow as expected.

The American consumer has been programmed to expect a warranty on everything. If it doesn't have a long enough one you can even purchase an extended warranty. TVs have warranties, lawn mowers have warranties, dishes have warranties. However these warranties are not guarantees. A guarantee is much different than a warranty.

My soft washing process lasted about 5 years on shingle roofs here in Florida, about 3 years on tile. In the begining I had about 20 test roofs in a neighboorhood called Orange Park Village on Red Bug Lake Rd in Casselberry, Fl that when they reached a year old I gave a year warranty. Then at two I gave a two year warranty, and so on. Shingle roofs are by far the easiest roofs to keep clean from black GM streaking.

In PA you actually have a very favorable climate for growing roof funk. Much like FL you are surrounded by water on almost three sides. Your winter keeps the GM growing season short but you still have a great deal of humidity. I bet you will see simular numbers as FL.
