Hey AC,
Thanks for the info and the informative video.
Now here are my questions to you, there is no savings for my company doing the Calcium Hypochlorite/Green wash/Chlorine mix
My cost for a 100 gallon mixture
Calcium Hypochlorite - $23.30
Chlorine at .99 per gallon - $19.80
Green Wash - $12.00
Total = $55.30
A higher cost at $5.80
So do I need this mix?
The only reason augmenting is of value down here in Florida is because of the 119 gallon rule. You can not by law carry more than 119 gallons of any hypochlorite solution on your vehicle without a CDL and a Haz Mat endorsement. This is ok if you are just doing the occasional roof and not running a full time soft wash truck. However as you start doing more work in a single day 119 gallons of SH will only go so far. You will from time to time find yourself running out of SH mid afternoon and unable to finish your days work. You could run all the way back to the bleach supply but that will waste the rest of your remaining day. By using the augmenting technique you will be able to take that 119 gallons of SH and stretch it over as much as two days eliminating frequent trips to the SH supply. This is HUGE when doing apartments and condos when you are doing large bulks of roofing material in a single day.
is it better to clean roofs this way?
Not really. The cleaning effect is simular.
I'm just worried due to the added health risks,
There are no additional health risks. In fact the CH has a milder smell and fume than the SH.
will it be that much better for the plants?
Much Much better for the plants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Watch the Plant & Property Protection Module.
and does this cleaning method work that much better than the 50/50 mix?
Yes it works better in that the bleaching / cleaning result will be simular but the savings in bleach is huge. You will not need to do a 50 / 50 mix ever again.
One more question what would be the mix if I just wanted to add the green wash to my 50/50 mix? and what are the benefits?
Again if you are using a 50 / 50 mix now you will be able to drop to a 30 / 70 mix by adding 64 oz of Green Wash to a 100 gallon tank. Green Wash is designed to make SH and CH bleach better at a lower solution rate.
