A picture would help, but if you have brown streaks you probably need to apply a 2nd coat. That won't come off with just the rain, not anytime soon anyway.

Brown means it is dead. It will come off with the rain. Here are some pics of a roof before, after and then after a rain. Trust your mix! It will come off.

If you look closely, there is brown on the second picture of the roof and that is immediately after the cleaning and it is all gone on the third picture. The rain is an amazing thing. It makes your roof cleaning look even better.

Oh Yeah, I totally agree with that Brian. I was under the impression these were brown streaks though, not a slight discoloration.

Id wate 5 to 7 days to let the chems break down, then rinse. No use sending all of that into the soil and killing grass and plants.

You can do one of 3 things. Rinse now, hit it with a mild solution which will get rid of the brown, or wait for rain. All 3 will get the roof spic and span.

IMO, leaving brown streaks on the roof for the rain to rinse off demontrates an experienced roof cleaner. I like to think, less is more when it comes to bleach.

I tell our customers we are trying to use the smallest effective dosage of medicine for their roof just like how a doc prescribes meds. Or,, just like when they have the lawn sprayed for weeds and bugs.

Plus I'm a cheap bastard when it comes to business and I do not waste a drop or a nickel.
