Evidence of a "No-No Blaster"!

I cleaned this roof in May and discovered that someone, possible the HO had attempted to clean the roof with a pressure washer.  At least the person didn't try to use a zero-tip like I've seen on concrete and decks in the past.  Geez!!

Those are great pics of what not to do. there is a minimum of fifty percent granule loss an degrading. That is just what I can see from the pics. If you sent a piece of that shingle to a test lab, they would probably say even more, after they ran some simple tests. The lifespan of that roof has been cut by a minimum of 75% because of it.

People just don't understand that anything over 150 psi can cause premature granule loss. And the granules are the shingles first line of defense against UV Rays, weathering, acid rain, etc....

That is a great selling point for softwashing shingle roofs, John.

Is there a shingle industry source for it? Would look great in a sales brochure, no?

Just say no the No-No!

Still learning, vic

Ha!!  That's awesome, Bob!!  Love it.  I'll have to store that on in the old rolodex.
