Extensions...... Do you need to get Way Up There....

Do any of you guys have 3-4 story homes to wash?

Have a hard time getting up to the peaks?

I have been working allot in Charleston SC, and the homes

are Taller than what I am used to in my area.

Here is my solution to getting up high with a soft wash

cleaning setup.

I have a QC on my ball valve, and on my extension wand.

This allows me to quickly disconnect the normal wand, and attach

a 10' piece of 1/2" black pipe from Home Depot.

Is it heavy? Yes but it is actually not bad when you get used to it.

I also have Pressure washing extensions I can add to the end of the 10'

black pipe if I need to get Waaayyyy up there.

In the past I just used the 72" pressure washing extension, but found

that because of it's very small inner dia. it lost allot of flow, which in turn

caused a loss in distance. Now with the 1/2" dia pipe I loose no flow and get

the same distance as I get from my wand.  biggrin

* Pic1 - Ball valve and Regular wand both with 3/8" QC

* Pic2 - 10' 1/2" black pipe end with 3/8" qc for attachment to Ball Valve

* Pic3 - 10' 1/2" black pipe end with 1/4" qc for attachment "two banger"

Hope this helps some of you guys out.

   Chris

I have some aluminum and stainless extensions (Much lighter) that I use for the extra reach

on a roof from a ladder.

The 10' extension I explain here is for Ground Use Only,  (House Washing) It is strong and sturdy.

Do not try and take this on a ladder, chances are you will fall.

The PW extensions are lighter but TOO small of a restriction for the required flow, and get Way

to wobbly starting at 59" and up. You can not control them very well.

This wands best use is for softwashing homes I have attached pictures below.

I have some fittings pictured below that I use as well.

Chris f they call those two bangers, call the power wash store and they will hook you up. they also make three banger and quad banger. i use the quad all the time. one stream tip, two fan tips and a very low volume tip to get railing on a deck without over spraying too much on the grass. unfortunatly the whole set up with cost around 50 bucks
